Gothic and blackletter fonts

Blackletter, also called gothic, old English or fraktur, is built from angular, broken strokes. It is striking in a headline, a poster, a cover or a tattoo, and tiring in a paragraph.

Avoid setting whole words in capitals: blackletter capitals are decorative and hard to tell apart. Use the font for a short line, in a size big enough to show the detail, and set the rest in a plain font.
