What we collect
Fontik has no accounts and asks for no personal data. When you download a font we count the download (which font, which kind of file, which language of the site) without your IP address or anything that identifies you.
What stays in your browser
The site remembers your choice of light or dark theme and of grid or list view in your browser's local storage. These stay on your device and are not sent to us.
Fonts you convert
When you use the font converter or the web font generator, the file you upload is sent to our server, converted there and deleted: the original as soon as the conversion is finished, the result 24 hours later at the latest. We do not look at the files, add them to the catalogue or share them. To prevent abuse we count the conversions of each connection within the current hour by its IP address; this counter deletes itself after two hours.
Hosting logs
Like any website, the servers that host Fontik may keep technical logs (such as the IP address and the requested page) for a short time, for security and troubleshooting.
Analytics
Fontik uses Google Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from and which device and browser they use, in aggregate and without names or accounts. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. Google's advertising features are switched off in it. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Turkey no analytics cookies are used without your consent; until then only cookieless signals are sent. You can stop the measurement in any country with Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and read how Google uses data from partner sites at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Ads
Fontik may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads, including personalised ones. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Turkey are asked for consent by a message from Google before such cookies are used. You can manage ad personalisation at https://adssettings.google.com, and read how Google uses data from partner sites at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
