Fonts for video titles and subtitles

Text on video competes with a moving picture and is often read on a small phone screen for a second or two. Bold, simple letters with clear shapes stay legible; thin strokes and fine decoration disappear against a busy background.

Pick a heavy weight, add an outline or a soft shadow in your editor for contrast, and keep the line short. Look at the font in the preview with your own words, and check that it has every letter of your language.
