Webfont generator: WOFF2 files and CSS for your site
Drop a TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2 font and get a kit for your website in one ZIP: compressed WOFF2 files cut by script, a stylesheet with unicode-range and a demo page to check the result.
Files are deleted from our servers 24 hours after conversion, and are never shared.
How to use the kit
- 1
Unpack
Unpack the ZIP into your site's folder, for example the fonts folder.
- 2
Link the stylesheet
Add fonts.css to the head of your pages, then open demo.html to see the font at work.
- 3
Use the font
Use the family name from the stylesheet in your own CSS, with a fallback font after it.
Why WOFF2 and unicode-range
WOFF2 is the smallest font format and every modern browser reads it. A font cut by script lets a page in English skip the Cyrillic and Greek files altogether: the browser downloads a file only when the page contains letters from it. That makes pages open faster and costs nothing in looks.
Questions and answers
- Which fonts can I use?
- Only fonts you may put on a website. Many desktop licences do not allow it. The fonts of our catalogue are free to use, and each page offers the web files too.
- Does the kit change the letters?
- No. The letters, kerning and OpenType features stay as they are; the font is only cut into parts and compressed.
- What if the font has no Cyrillic?
- The kit holds only the scripts the font really has. If none of the ones you chose are there, we tell you.
- How long are my files kept?
- The upload is deleted at once and the kit 24 hours after it was made.
