Didact Gothic is a free font by Daniel Johnson, Cyreal, released under the OFL-1.1 license. Of the 1069 languages we checked, 878 have every letter of their basic alphabet in this font. The x-height is 47% of the em and the capital height is 68%.
Didact Gothic is a sans-serif font with 1272 glyphs in one regular style at weight 400. It is not a variable font. It supports Latin and Cyrillic scripts, including the extra Cyrillic letters needed for Kazakh. According to its source notes, Daniel Johnson originally designed it to show each letter in the form most often taught in elementary classrooms, and Alexei Vanyashin at Cyreal revised the whole font in 2017. The font is free to use under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
