How to import a font into Procreate on iPad
Procreate has its own font list, separate from the system one. You add a font to it once, from the Files app, and it stays in the list for every canvas.

Steps
- Download the font on your iPad and open the Files app. If the font came as a ZIP archive, tap the archive to unzip it: Procreate cannot read zipped fonts.
- Open Procreate and a canvas. Tap Actions (the wrench), then Add, then Add Text.
- Tap the Aa button to open the style panel, then choose Edit Style and Import Font.In some versions the button is called Import and sits in the top right corner of the style panel.
- In the Files window find the font file (.ttf, .otf or .ttc) and tap it.
- The font appears in the font list: tap it to apply it to the text.
- Another way: AirDrop the font from a Mac and choose Procreate as the destination, or drag it from the Files app into Procreate in Split View.
Tips
- Procreate accepts TTC, TTF and OTF files: use these from the downloaded archive, not the WOFF2 files of a web kit.
- Imported fonts are kept in the Files app under On My iPad, Procreate, Fonts; you can delete them there too.
- Check that the font contains the letters you need before you import it.
